Applies for Trunking communications portable model radios. Zones (not channels) are dynamically assigned to the positions of a portable radio's Rotary Channel Selector. The rotary has no defined start and stop positions allowing it to rotate completely around 360 . Once the rotary has moved through all rotary zone positions (see Personality Assignment); the first zone is automatically inserted in the next rotary position. This allows the rotary to have no unassigned positions.
